An Elderberry tree is fast growing with very light wood growing to 4-5m tall. This common cultivar has green foliage and white flowers, white flower clusters (elderflower) that turn into black berries (elderberries).  When happy, it will tend to form many trunks. Both the flowers and the berries are used to make a variety of cordials, wines, relishes, jams, teas and medicines
