Bahco Pruning Saw 14" curved

Bahco 339-6T

This is our favourite pruning saw. Very sharp, and the curved design allows it to be used easily above head-height. The length of it allows for a good amount of drawer compared to a smaller folding saw. Cuts on the pull stroke, and clears the sawdust well preventing clogging up. Hard point. Hard plastic handle with room for a pole extension. The scabbard is highly recommended to proctect the blade and prevent from unwanted cuts or becoming blunt. Remember, when cutting a large branch, it's best to do two cuts. The first a few cm away from the final cut, starting underneath the branch and finishing the cut from the top preventing the bark from tearing as the limb falls. The second cut in the final position is a lot smoother without the weight of the branch.

Pollination Guide

  • Pollination is far simpler than most people think. Generally, unless self fertile simply get 2 or more different varieties in the same group (eg pears) to ensure adequate pollination. A more comprehensive explanation can be found in our Pollination Guide
