Elderberry

Elderberry tree is a fast growing tree with very light wood growing to 4-5m tall. When happy, it will tend to form many trunks. It becomes ladened with white flower clusters (elderflower) which turn into masses of small black berriesĀ  (elderberries). Both the flowers and the berries are used to make a variety of cordials, wines, relishes, jams, teas and medicines.
