Pinot Grigio grape

A grape famous for producing a white wine with rich but light flavour. Suitable for growing in cold climates - does well especially in Victoria and Tasmania. Grapes prefer full sun, a well drained sandy soil and dont need a lot of water once established.  A trellis system is essential - a simple 1.5-1.8m high by 3m should do per plant. They require heavy pruning in late autumn, and some light summer pruning can reduce the risk of mildew.
